Veterans Activity Center

The Veteran’s Activity Center is located on the first floor of Building 18 and provides recreational and social opportunities for all Veterans who utilize the medical center. The Center is designed to improve leisure functioning and independence for those currently living in the community as well as for Veterans who are looking to return to their community after discharge from the Medical Center. Opportunities are offered to Veterans to assist them with leisure and social functioning and to improve and/or maintain their overall independence within their community.

A monthly calendar is available with recreational activities. Veterans are welcome to attend on a regular basis or drop in as needed during scheduled recreational activity times. A variety of programs are offered including:

• arts and crafts,
• current events discussions,
• bingo,
• spirituality groups,
• volunteer sponsored activities/meals,
• pet visitation,
• music appreciation,
• community trips sponsored by voluntary service organizations.
