On Tuesday, November 13, 2012 nine members of the musical group, “Re-Creation” entertained approximately 100 Veterans and staff at the medical center. Re-Creation has been called, “America’s Ambassador’s to Hospitalized Veterans.” The group performs across the country with a variety format. The nine young entertainers sang and danced to music from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s including some Motown hits! Everyone there found themselves tapping their foot or snapping their fingers – the familiar tunes were so catchy! The grand finale included patriotic music and the theme song for each branch of the service. The cast and crew stayed following their performance to autograph pictures and socialize with those in attendance.
We also want to thank several volunteers and staff members who made the evening special for the “Re-Creation” team. These kind souls included: Ed Reeves, Helen Meiser, Dottie Adams, Louise Gerhart, Edith Snyder, Jolyn Swift, Scott Harman, Chris Levengood, Nancy Ressler, Ivan Toledo, Debra Santucci, Andy Murphy and Vince Ringer. They donated items and helped to serve dinner to the cast and crew.
